As a dietitian coach, it's essential for me to ask people what their goals are so I can determine A. If I can help them and B. How I'm going to do so.

More often than not, propsective clients list "weight loss" as one of their top goals, amonst having more energy and simply feeling better. When I dig a little deeper by asking "What does success look like to you?" and "Can you paint me a picture of what that look's like?", I realize that the goal is rarely weight loss; it's feeling confident in their clothes. It's losing inches and looking lean or "toned". That my friends, is fat loss.
